Hi! thanks for being here!

Hope you can relate with a little bit of my story. Buckle up for the fun ride!

my story began when…

I was 9 years old and my “art projects” at school came straight from a book. So my friend and I decided to literally “take matters into our own hands” by creating a notebook full of our own clothing designs and creations.

Since then, I never stopped making and loving art.

Fast forward to my college years and I decided to work with children, so I got degrees in Early Childhood Education and Child Welfare.

I have worked as a nanny, in a preschool setting (with a classroom full of boys one year- God helped me), and with a non-profit as a behavior interventionist for foster children.

In all my roles I used art as a way to build confidence, creativity, and connection with the kids.

my favorite job: mom

In my last year of work, I had my oldest daughter.

She changed my entire world.

After working with children for years, I thought I knew everything.

Boy was I wrong.

Not only was I unprepared, and wishing I had a parenting manual, but I also felt the need to stay at home, slow down, and enjoy every minute of it. I also had a job I loved at our church. Working with families. Connecting people with one another.

But God had other plans, so I quit my job, we moved out of state, had my youngest daughter, and through all of this I’ve loved this wild and creative job called motherhood

I also began creating content in 2021 for parenting brands (like our favorite magnetic tiles!), developed my digital art skills, and began blogging about screen-free activities with other parents.

Somewhere between my teaching and parenting journey I realized kids light up over the most ordinary things. Have you noticed? Torn paper, mismatched buttons, a handful of leaves from the backyard.

Now I bring that same joy to our art workshops, our “dining art table” with my girls, and all the sensory and process art activities I share for parents of kids ages 2-8.

And here's what I want you to know before we go into my philosophy blurb: you don't need to be an artist to raise a creative child.

me. today. In real time.

my philosophy

Simple materials. Meaningful learning. Creative childhood.

You don't need a Pinterest-perfect setup, expensive supplies, or a fine arts degree. You need permission to let things get a little messy, and a little guidance on what's actually happening underneath the mess.

When your toddler mixes every color into brown, that's not "ruining" the painting — that's cause-and-effect reasoning. When your 4-year-old rips paper into tiny pieces instead of cutting it neatly, that's fine motor development in action. Art isn't just something to keep kids busy. It's how they build creative problem-solving, emotional regulation, and confidence — skills they'll carry far beyond the craft table.

why you are here. and still reading thank you!

You might be:

  • Feeling overwhelmed by crafts that are too complicated, too messy without purpose, or not quite right for your child's age

  • Wanting simple, meaningful activities using stuff already in the house

  • Tired of guessing whether what your kids are doing is "enough"

I'll never ask you to buy a 47-piece kit or follow a craft to perfection. I'll just show you what to set out, what to expect, and what your child is actually learning while they make their beautiful, glorious mess.

Glad you're here friend.
